About the Journal

Philology (Students’ Journal) is an annual, peer-reviewed academic journal established by the Department of English Philology at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The journal aims to promote contemporary philological research and to provide BA and MA students with an opportunity to present their scholarly and creative work to a wider academic audience. A further goal of the journal is to encourage young researchers to engage actively in academic and scientific activities.

Aims and Scope

The journal focuses on the following areas:

  • Linguistics
  • Literature
  • Translation Studies

In addition to research articles, Philology (Students’ Journal) publishes translations and original literary sketches, thereby supporting and fostering students’ creative writing.

The journal is bilingual and accepts submissions in English and/or Georgian.

Publication Frequency and Submissions

Philology (Students’ Journal) is published annually, with each new issue released in July. The submission period is open from 1 November to 31 March.
