No. 1 (2024): Philology (Students' Journal)
I am pleased that another exciting initiative by our Department has come to fruition. Today, the first edition of the online student journal “Philology” from the Department of English Philology at the Institute of Western European Languages and Literatures at the Faculty of Humanities at TSU has been published.
I am thrilled by the enthusiasm and dedication our students have demonstrated while working on the articles. The comments and suggestions from the reviewers and editors were swiftly addressed. In this issue, we feature student contributions from all three levels of English Philology, as well as a translation by a student from the Master’s Programme in Translation Studies.
Alongside the academic staff and doctoral students of our university, the journal's editorial board also includes representatives from other Georgian universities and international institutions. I hope our collaboration will grow, and that students from various universities will actively engage with us alongside TSU students.
I want to thank the young supervisors and reviewers of our journal articles, who have worked tirelessly and approached their tasks with professionalism.
Special thanks go to the editors of the journal and to the team responsible for the journal’s logo — our bachelor's student Anano Endeladze, Phd student Marine Makhatadze, PhD and journal editor Nato Peradze; as well as the computer support team, TSU students Lasha Gagnidze, Salome Tsiklauri, and Ana Mtsituri.
Congratulations to our young colleagues on their first steps in the academic world! Long live!
